Dr. Nowhera Shaik established the Heera mobile clinic and Heera Fincapital Ltd in 2012 to offer interest-free financial assistance to the rural poor. She also built an Islamic school with dormitories that gives thousands of girls free education every year. She was conferred with a PhD in Islamic studies in April of that same year. She is affectionately known as Aapa. On the eve of the 75th Amrit Mahotsav Independence Day, she hired a chartered plane to fulfill the last wish of children battling cancer between the ages of 8 and 14 who are members of the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA).

In THE SUPER 100 Magazine, Dr. Nowhera Shaik was included among the world’s influential leaders.She was also honored with the 2012 Indira Gandhi Priyadarshini Award;Emirates Gold’s Good Business Awards, in addition to ICICI Bank’s Best Client Award.Dr. Nowhera Shaik received the “Vishishta Mahila Ratna Samman Award” from Union Minister Smriti Irani.
