Nowhera Shaik, The recently established All India Mahila Empowerment Party by Dr Nowhera Shaik has its vision set on the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, Vidhan Sabha, as it has made it clear to put candidates in every 224 constituencies who are supposed to vote.
The path to the Karnataka Assembly is becoming more hectic and is devised with many occasions and happenings. However, the proclamation of the incorporation of the All India Mahila Empowerment Party (AIMEP) into the contest for power has no doubt surprised many people. The party was organized on November 12, 2017, at a foundation event hosted by the party’s domestic president and entrepreneur – Dr Nowhera Shaik at The Lalit, New Delhi. Nowhera Shaik is also the creator and CEO of Heera Group of Companies.
The party was established with the motive of uplifting women of the country, fighting for their rights, freedom, and coming to complete power. ‘ If we come to ultimate power, we will introduce 50% reservation for women and software will be developed to ensure the safety of women and children, among other things,’ Nowhera assured at the launch event. Surprisingly, the party has fielded 30 female candidates.
The event was a star in cosmos affair with the presence of Mohammed Azharuddin, Sania Mirza, Sunil Shetty, Bobby Deol, Aftab Shivdasani, Zeenat Aman, Poonam Dhillon, Farah Khan, Sonu Sood, Neha Dhupia, Illeana D’Cruz, Huma Qureshi, and lastly, The Great Khali.
For the impending Karnataka Assembly election of 2018, the MEP has set out by declaring their representatives from all the 224 seats. The party is battling hard to make this election a quarter-way contest with Congress, BJP, and JD(S) being the other three competitors. Shaik has been very industriously joined by the Khan Brothers – Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan, who has been contesting for the MEP along with her.
