Sameer Wankhede, On Monday, the Bombay High Court is scheduled to rule on Sameer Wankhede’s father’s application for interim relief in his defamation action against Nawab Malik.

The court had previously put off deciding on his father’s motion for a “temporary injunction” against Nawab Malik. Dnyandev Wankhede had asked the court to prevent Nawab Malik from making “defamatory statements” about him and his family on social media.

Since the inquiry into the high-profile Mumbai cruise narcotics case began, there has been a struggle between Sameer Wankhede and Nawab Malik. Sameer Wankhede has been accused of extortion by the minister, among other serious claims.

Nawab Malik, a Maharashtra minister, posted a photo of NCB zonal director Sameer Wankhede’s nikah on Twitter late Sunday night.

He is a Nationalist Congress Party minister, has claimed that he was born a Muslim but falsified his caste certificate to gain access to a post designated for Scheduled Castes in the public services (SC). The charges, on the other hand, have been denied by Sameer Wankhede and his family.

Nilofer Malik Khan, Nawab Malik’s daughter, claimed to have Sameer Wankhede’s marriage certificate and wedding reception card on Twitter on Saturday. His first marriage to Shabana Quraishi is documented in these documents.

Sameer, son of Mr Dawood and Mrs Zaheda Wankhede is printed on the ostensible wedding card.

Nawab Malik claims his father’s name is Dawood, but the Wankhede family insists it is Dnyandev. The NCB and the Mumbai police have initiated an investigation into extortion claims made by independent witnesses in the matter at hand, which is now underway.

An NCB team led by Sameer Wankhede had previously detained Nawab Malik’s son-in-law Sameer Khan in a drug case. He was eventually granted bail and released.
