List of victims of political murders in Kerala, In Kerala’s Alappuzha, two political figures from the BJP and the SDPI (Social Democratic Party of India) were assassinated, prompting the police to prohibit mass meetings. The deaths have been condemned by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, who has promised stern action.

Victims of The Assault

KS Shaan, the state secretary of the SDPI, was assassinated on his way home late last night. Mr Shaan was riding a two-wheeler when he was approached by a gang in a car, who rammed his bike and stabbed him, according to the police. According to authorities, he died of his injuries after midnight in a Kochi hospital.

Unknown men barged into the home of BJP’s Renjith Sreenivasan, the party’s OBC unit Secretary, and hacked him to death less than 12 hours later.

The matter is being looked into by the cops. For the next two days, the district has been placed under Section144 prohibition orders, and thorough checks are being carried out.

Barbaric Acts Threaten State

The state is threatened by such terrible and barbaric acts of violence. “I am confident that everyone would be ready to identify and isolate such murderer gangs and their nasty attitudes,” Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said in a press conference, promising police efforts to find the perpetrators.

The murders have been blamed on both the BJP and the SDPI.

“This is the third horrible murder of BJP workers in the previous 60 days,” BJP state president K Surendran said. PFI thugs are attempting to bring the country to its knees.”

V Muralidharaan, a Union minister, also criticised the attacks, accusing Kerala of being a “goondaraj” (lawless) state that is developing into “death grounds.” The SDPI has accused the employees of the BJP’s ideological mentor, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, or RSS, of organising the attack, he tweeted, tagging Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan.
