Achievement Of Heera Group. The Supreme Court had the latest hearing in regards to the ongoing Heera Group legal case. The hearing took place on the 12th of May 2022 which was an important one as it helped to enlighten the investigation reports. The case was handled by the Solicitor Mr AS Raju while the Heera Group had the Senior Counsel Mr Rohatgi to speak for them. The role of the Serious Fraud Investigation Office or the SFIO was questioned along with the court providing an all-new strategy to investigate the case. The Heera Group’s cooperation with the agencies was also the topic of the case.
The Questionable role of SFIO:
The SFIO has been investigating the case for an adequate amount of time. They have investigated the original amount of money that the claimants deserve to be paid by the company. While the verification of the claimants; was done the Heera Group used the private office of the SFIO as a helpdesk. The SFIO has filed an FIR against the company for this procedure. The court has dismissed the FIR as it is unnecessarily shifting the focus of the case.
The agency has been instructed to collect shreds of evidence from the data center of the company as soon as; possible while a time limit of three months maximum has been provided to them.
The Heera Group’s Cooperation:
The company was told to co-operate with the agencies to assist them with the investigation in the last hearing. While the company is ready to help the SFIO and TSFSL they are ignoring; them and are passing them as a football as told by Mr Rohatgi. The company could not pay the full amount back to their claimants; because their bank accounts are still frozen and have not been Defreezed. The court has directed the SFIO to do the needful as soon as possible. The needle is moving towards the company while they have achieved their biggest win till now.
